Nominations for the 2015 N-Peace Awards are now open!
If you experience any problems nominating online you can contact sharon.cuddy@undp.org.
The N-Peace Awards are an annual celebration of women who are building peace and preventing conflict in six Asian countries: Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nepal, Myanmar, Indonesia and the Philippines. The awards also recognize male peacebuilders who work for change with and for women. You have until Friday, 8 May to get your nomination in.
You can nominate using the online form here: http://n-peace.net/nominate. This year there are 3 categories in which people can be nominated:
UNTOLD STORIES – Women transforming their Communities: In this category we honour grassroots women who are champions of peace within their communities. There will be one winner from each of the six participating countries.
CAMPAIGNING FOR ACTION – Women and Men Mobilizing for Peace: This category recognizes both women and men whose national-level mobilization and advocacy efforts have resulted in the advancement of women, peace and security issues. There will be one female and one male winner.
THE PEACE GENERATION – Young Women and Men Building Peace: This category is open to both women and men aged under 30 years. Here we celebrate young people whose work for transformation in conflict, post-conflict or fragile communities or countries has resulted in the advancement of women, peace and security issues. Nominees in this category are the future peace leaders of Asia. There will be one female and one male winner.
